Immigration Evaluations

Trauma-Informed Immigration Psychological Evaluations in Texas and Colorado.

What Is an Immigration Psychological Evaluation?

An immigration psychological evaluation is a formal mental health assessment used as supporting evidence in certain immigration cases. The purpose of the evaluation is to document psychological symptoms, emotional hardship, and the impact of trauma or separation in a way that is clear and legally relevant. These evaluations may be requested by an immigration attorney and included as part of a legal application or court filing

Types of Cases Supported:

  • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act)

  • Asylum

  • U-Visa

  • T-Visa

  • Cancelation of Removal

  • Extreme Hardship

What to expect:

The evaluation process is structured, transparent, and collaborative.

Typically includes:

  • A comprehensive clinical interview

  • Review of relevant background and psychosocial history

  • Assessment of trauma, stressors, and current functioning

  • Use of standardized screening tools when appropriate

  • A detailed written report aligned with immigration requirements

The final report is written in professional, court-appropriate language and provided to your attorney (or directly to you, depending on preference).
